Master Instructor Sifu Juan Carlos Proano has trained Martial Arts for over 35 years beginning with Karate and then dedicating his life to Chinese Wushu. Sifu Proano earned a 3rd Duan Black sash from Si Gung Kenny Perez in 2003 as well as becoming a certified personal trainer. He mastered a great variety of styles such as international Wushu/Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Wing Chun. He lineage can be traced to Great Grandmaster Coach Wu Bin and Dr. Sifu Peter Chow. Sifu Proano established American Wushu Academy in 2012. Since opening day, he has worked tirelessly to fulfill his dream of teaching Wushu to everyone. Recently, Sifu Proano became a coach and member of the USA Traditional Wushu Team. He and several of his students competed and won in a world competition in China. He lives in Mesa, Arizona with his wife and three children.
